Dallas Heritage Village

Come explore Dallas history among the collection of historic buildings, furnishings, and artifacts at Dallas Heritage Village – in beautiful Old City Park.

Immerse yourself in the lives of early Texans, from pioneer homesteaders to Victorian town dwellers with Dallas Heritage Village’s hands-on history program. Visitors can grind corn and plow the garden at the Farmstead, practice selling and buying goods at the General Store, or bring a picnic and stroll the grounds in our tree-shaded 20-acre setting.

For our littlest guests, Dallas Heritage Village offers a weekly story time and activities with our Barnyard Buddies Club, a special educational program for visitors 12 months – 4 years.

The mission of Dallas Heritage Village is to collect, preserve, and teach the history of Dallas and North Central Texas. Support for Dallas Heritage Village sponsors research, publications, exhibits, and allows DHV to present educational programs and special events for diverse audiences of children, families, and adults. Dallas Heritage Village hosts multiple family events throughout the year and visitors can participate in daily activities led by history hosts.
